Can you guys enlighten me. Guy at work has just bought an 04 plated Hyundai Coupe. He admits that it isn't a V6, and that its running forced induction, but wont say much more about the engine. He wouldn't let me look under the bonnet! He said he bought it off some japanese guys, and that it 'has UK plates'

This to me sounds like its some crazy turbo/supercharged import version? Anyone know if they exist?

I'm thinking that, but wondering if they did an import version that already came turbo charged? They did on the previous model coupe (like 1996 ish) that were 1.5's with turbos, just wondering if they did the same for this gen?

There's no Hyundai model reports available to the public. There might be a private one for a Coupe but I wouldn't have thought the demand here was great enough to warrant it. I don't think it's possible to get an imported Coupe of that age on the road here so maybe it's an aftermarket FI kit.
