Yes, Hawk's would be my choice. I used them in my RX-7 on the track and they were fantastic. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Its worth mentioning that when they ran out Mazda Rotary Parts suggested and recommended the Mintex Extreme and told me a story about an RX-8 owner who did 'a hundred laps of Brands' on them and that they were amazing. The fact that they were half the price of the Hawks and i planned to go full AP setup shortly meant i took them. They were awful; too hard, heated up way too much, cracked my discs and still had loads of meat on them. That was track use; on the road i had no complaint at all and if road was all i did i'd get them again. But on track they did 2 laps max before the amount of braking force you get became random, and the aforementioned disc damage happened all in one day.

I went 6-pot APs on the front with Pagid pads, but i still sue Hawks in the standard rear brakes.
