2008 Impreza or Focus ST-3??

Ok, I've got 18k ish to spend for the misses, need a 5 door hatchback with a bit of poke.....which one do i go for?

Impreza would be an imported 2008 WRX 2.5 kicking out similar bhp to the focus. 4WD V 2WD....import V UK car.

What would you guys go for? Or any other suggestions welcome.

They may have roughly equal power/torque, but it's not much use if you can't put that power down.

As posted in the Ford forum, go for the new Impreza.

I drove one for an hour but in the end chose an upgrade Clio 197. Regardless of this fact the new Impreza is a truly fantastic car, that is sadly blighted with questionable looks.

I think I would actually be SICK if I ever even contemplated spending 18k on a FORD, nevermind actually went out and did it...

Good cheap A-B cars for youngsters, that being 2nd hand sub 3k ones..

Although you will be under wheelmed by the Base WRX's performance and VERY soft smooth handling. It will be in a poorer performance place than the Ford IMHO

But A remap(although not many have done that in UK yet) and some 18" wheels, Eibach springs and uprated Rear anti rollbar. jobs a good un IMHO

What Tony said (but i still hate what it looks like)....and don't forget to swap those disgusting sliding calipers for some proper 4 pots
