I'm sure someone will point out that this has been covered a hundred times before, but...thinking about buying a 350Z and wondered if anyone on here can enlighten me on a couple of things.

Imports v UK cars - Any real differences?

Insurance - Using confused.com a 2002 £10K import was £1600 a year whilst a 2005 £15K UK car was only £700 a year. Should the import be more than double the UK car or are there some good specialist insurers out there I should try?

Boot space - it looked quite small on the one I snooped around. Can you fit a suitcase anywhere in these cars or is it a couple of over night bags only.

Anything else I should know?

Cheers, big Dick

Hi Dick

The best place to get all that answered is over on www.350z-uk.com - they are a good bunch and it is free to join.

Boot space is very good in the coupe (designed to take 2 complete golf bags) and not great in the roadster although we have managed to take ours round france for 2 weeks camping with few problems.

The JDM models come with a few more gizmos depending on spec such as auto folding wing mirrors and an auto gearbox but fundementally there is little difference.

Get one and enjoy the noise!

Thanks GLen, will pop over there now.

Anyone got any advice as to insuring these? Any insureres that particularly like taking on 350z's?

Tesco's or Priviledge (both UK insurance Ltd) have worked out cheapest for me both years I have had the car now...
