Hi everyone! looking for some help / info for a friends whos got himself toyota celica 1.8 140bhp year - 2000 done around 70K its just been serviced and the car is running well hes
not long fitted an k & n typhoon induction kit , now the engine management light has come on and hes gettin around 20MPG!!!! should be around 35 i no a induction kit will throw this but something is wrong here?!! the car was owned my a female from new so prob never been thrashed untill he got hold of it anyone know anythin here ?


once this has been fixed hes also looking to get some power upgrades a chip or something like that whats best? + value for ££ and so on

any info would be good brian

air flow meter or MAF meter
the filter may have tipped it over the edge, and killed it.
if its N/A i wouldn't bother chipping it.
just filter and 'Zorst it.

Yep, the K&N will have killed the MAF.

Did he reset the ECU after making all the changes? Probably all it needs in all honesty.

Power chips - not really, not that sort of car. Buy a GT4 :P
