RX7 ENGINE SIZE TAX BAND
Discussion
Hi
Does anyone know if there is actually cheaper road tax if a car is registered as a 1.3?
Can I re-register as such? Currently states 2.6 litres on paperwork.
You sometimes see cars advertised as 1.3 and as I have a new rotor housing with a new engine number perhaps it would be the honest thing to do when notifying Swansea

As a member of the http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com I know there are a few people who have succesfully re-registered their cars as a 1300cc. First step is to get a capacity ( 1300cc ) comformation note from one of the Rotary specialists ( small fee involved )and forward that with your application to the DVLC.
Do a search on the http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com..its all on there.
Mine is registered as a 1300cc and costs me £115 last year !!

Thank you! As a result of the credit crunch and no payrise all possible savings will have to be pursued. I will be fitting spacesaver tyres all round and slipstreaming trucks where possible.
What other economies can I make? Rarely use A/C (sweaty black car with windows shut). Run without lights popped up at night! Keep highly polished. Maybe I can stop the aerial from deploying if I only want CD.

Our 4 Rx7s are all registered as 1300cc
However from recent reports on MRC members were saying that they are getting stung at the PO counter when it comes to paying for their renewal, despite the form stating £100 odd for the years license.
You dont need a rotary specialist to send you in proof....some of ours stated 2.6 also in fact one stated 2.8....where they got that from heaven only knows!
Our first will be ready for registration in the next 4 weeks, so will find out more then!
