Could any RX8 owners give me an idea of how usable the rear seats really are. I have a nipper on the way and the RX8 appeals lookswise but I'm concerned about the practicality issue! Is it possible to get a child seat in the back. Access is presumable good given the pillerless design but spacewise what's it like in the back??

Any advice appreciated,

Cheers

I'm 6'0" and i got in the back behind someone who's 5'10". It was only a short way, but it's not an appealing prospect, no idea on the kid seat aspect, but i can't see why not.

My kids are 3 and 5 and have booster seats. They love the car but it is a tight squeeze for their legs, esp when one of them is behind me. They are also quite narrow so I guess you would need to try it when you get the car seat.

The passenger side airbag can be turned off so you could always use the front seat. If you can afford the petrol and road tax there are some bargain RX8 out there at the moment.

I regularly have 4 adults in mine. I think for a sports car they are the best in class pretty much.....

Admittedly as I'm 6'3 the one behind me better be a small adult, but just last week I have 4 in no problems...

Baby seats fit, it has the ISOFIX fittings too. I think the right kinda baby seats need to be bought, checkout the uk owners club (and for pushchair recs too).

I regulaly took 4 adults in mine though not for more han an hour or so, its a nice space even for a tallish person in the back BUT theres not much room under the seats infront for your feet and no real room to stretch out your legs.

Its quite a practical car considering.

I've sat in the back of one for 3 hours, whilst it wasn't something I relished or look back on with fondness, it was quite surprising that I fitted relatively comfortably behind the driver being as I'm 6'3.
