Hey Guys
I bought myself a 1996 MR2 NA on sunday, lovely car, been using it all week and really enjoying it. It certainly puts a smile on your face. Im now thinking of making a few changes to it and was wondering if anyone would recomend anything, first thing i want to do is change the brakes, the front pads will need to be changed in a few thousand miles so i have decided to do them now, and was contemplating changing the discs and pads all round. any in particular i should be looking at buying? The currnet ones feel a bit soft.
Thanks

While you're down there don't forget to upgrade your brake hoses for Goodridge stainless steel braided types as they will only cost you £50 all round. It's a cheap and worthy mod and will transform the feel of your brake pedal no end!!
Add to that a brake fluid flush and use some decent DOT5.1 brake fluid or DOT4 Racing brake fluid as i am sure the better your brakes feel the later and harder you'll use them and the hotter the fluid will get

Turbo & NA have the same brakes! It's probably your calipers (rear?) that are not working on full.
No they dont, I've just replaced the pads and discs on my Turbo and was sold a set of NA rear discs in error, they're alot thinner believe me.N/A and turbo are identical.
1989 - 1992 small thin discs on turbo and n/a
1992 - 1998 big discs on n/a and turbo.
OEM pads and discs on 1992 cars onwards are great, if your getting them to fade on road theres soemthing wrong with your driving style. If your going to race MR2 challenge or trackday a lot then Carbotech are the ones to go for, funnily enough they are the same n/a & turbo.
