When i bought my car I think it has come with a personal plate on it. Now I have no particular hankering for a personal plate, but someone else might.

Is there a way of asessing the value of a plate, just to see if it is worth anything?

Same for everything mate, its worth as much as someone is willing to pay.
If its like J9 NFG, expect no more than £200 ish. If it actually spells a word, then compare it to similar words / similar plates that are of a similar comparison to a word?

What is it : Lets have a laugh.

Seriously, put it on ebay with a £1 start plus transfer fee and see what you get.

My wife has £250's worth of J111Y?? on a mk3 cav, and I'm thinking of J222MXV on an MX5 (her second weekend car!!! ) - only £250 !!!

Do a search on websites that sell registrations...
e.g. newreg...

Their cheapest SXI plate (SXI 3509) is up for 395 GBP
