Not his first - his 9th.

Love the notes in his profile.

Might be worth trying the Jap Chat forum.

Rear clip mod is pretty well known, if I remember it raises the rev limit to about 8500rpm and gives an increase in power of about 45bhp. Well worth it.

Try Fensport they can supply you with a turbo engine, though to be honest for the cost it'd probably be cheaper just to buy a proper MR2 Turbo as the engines aren't cheap.

Isnt that scene only second to the Road House kung fu practicing scene? scratchchin

In my opinion you're probably better off trying to find a turbo car than change an NA to turbo. To elaborate I'd imagine they have more than just the engine uprated, e.g. brakes, suspension etc, in which case it will be far cheaper to trade yours in for a turbo.

tbh i disagree with what a lot of people are saying here.

a lot of people drop turbo engines into UK Mr2 chassis, its not that bad a job. The turbo and n/a cars are in fact very similar. I know of two people who are mid-swap at the moment.

A toyota V6 transplant is also popular. not as much power as a turbo swap but you get a stunning noise.

A rear clip is basically the back half of an MR2, complete. You junk the bodyshell and drop the engine, crossmembers, and suspension (the whole kit and kaboodle) as a unit. You then stuff this into your empty engine bay.

that way you get all the mr2 turbo rear suspension, brakes yadda yadda in one go. all that needs to be done is re-wire it, plumb hoses, and you're away.
