A decent full alignment and bumpsteer removal is a very effective starting point.

New OEM dampers with Eibach Sports springs are a good refresh.

I currently use ASTs as supplied by Powerstation and they are decent quality with adjustable platform and damping.

There is a vast selection to choose from for Imprezas though.

Tein make some nice dampers that can be adjusted electrically from inside the cabin via an electronic controller, although i would totally agree with DocJock on some new OEM dmapers and some Eibach or Prodrive springs. These springs would lower the car a tad but not enough to cause you probs over raised manhole covers or road humps and would undoubtedly make for a better drive with less roll.

AST are pretty awesome though and i hear good things about EXE-TC too from Time Attackers. I think i would probably go the EXE-TC route.
