im looking at gettin a s14a but in my price range i seem to be finding they are all at or above 100k could somebody tell me a bit more about the strength's of the sr20det and how many miles there good for cheers

As a rule of thumb they are very good- S14s have the black top SR20DET block.

No cam blet as its chain.

Expect VVT rattle- not a problem, but sounds like a diesel.

Mine has done 120,000 miles and runs fine.

Oil changes very important- spray bars will get blocked, and the bottom end will/may go.
