I would guess that they are going to start dropping heavily in price next year - the 10 year rule means all of the sheds from Japan that have failed Shaken will start to materialise in the UK next year with their fresh MOT and fog light, as well as the R35GTR effect.....

they were £30k , i expect when A) they start getting to 10 yrs old and B) the R35 hits the streets they will drop like a stone

The Shaken test is compulsory for all cars after the first three years not ten, after the first test the shaken test has to be taken again every two years after that so its not uncommon to find cars coming up to the third or fourth Shaken to be exported to avoid the big red “fuseikaizousha” sticker, and the usual 125000 yen of fees!on a car whose value has dropped a lot.

But cars imported that are less than 10 years old need to undergo an eSVA in the UK before registration. The 10 year old rule is a UK thing, not Japanese.

Thanks all, just saw that they were around mid 30k average last year.

Next year would be interesting.

Good R33s seem to be around 8-9k now!
