Hi guys,

first post on this part of the forum.

i was looking at getting an R34 GTR a few months back. The main reason i havnt got one yet is that i need it as an everyday car (dont see the point in owning another car at the moment).

My question to you experienced lot is....

Can an R34 GTR skyline be used as an everyday car? 4wd will mean no problems in wet, but from a maintenance and fuel point of view, how costly/ easy is it to use as an everyday car?

Im not a stupid driver. I drive my cars hard on clear roads that i know, but during the week im quite a conservative driver. I currently drive a Golf R32, so how would an R34 GTR compare fuel wise?

thanks in advance for your help guys.

Probably depends on the state of tune.

See my other thread, it seems prices are due for a big drop next year.

Great cars and if well maintainted and not tuned too highly, perfectly OK for daily use.

I've heard that for these cars, 'mild' tune would still be around 500hp.

'Mild-moderate' tunes at 550-600hp is still daily usable I've heard, albeit at a higher cost.

The UK GTR forum is also very active with lots of members.
