OK, in California but it's the same car ...

Driving along in the traffic jam that is Highway 101 yesterday and I was next to a new 350Z in gunmetal greey metallic (or whatever Nissan call it). I think I want one ... will try to persuade the girlfriend to swap her TT for one since I can't justify a TVR and a 350Z!

If anyone is thinking about getting one of these, go for it. OK, so it's got a cheapo plasticy sat nav cover - get the nav and leave the cover open. The car just looks so good when it's moving along the road. I think you know what I mean.

Saw them in LA this time last year on the roads.
They do look quite good but I reckon they are gonna be very popular. Maybe too popular.

When Audi TTs first came out I used to like the look of 'em. A few months later I was sick of the site of them!

Dont listen to me!
Im sure it will be a great car.

I sat in the Concept one at the Brisbane motor show 18 months ago. That was fantastic. I have some good pics of it too.

FWIW, Autocar reported that the European spec version of the car will have a much higher quality interior featuring proper aluminium trim instead of plastic look-alike and better quality plastics and other materials. This is probably to justify the 10k price difference or whatever it ends up being...

Sure, but will it look great when it's following a 350Z being followed by a 350Z passing a 350Z at a junction

I not sure if they will be as popular as the Audi TT (I hope). I lot of ladies buy the TT , whereas the Z is definitly more a man's car so to speak.. Also the TT is a 2+2 isn't it? The Z is strickly 2 seater so I think this will put some people off aswell.

Well here's wishing....

Just wish I could get a test drive.....seems the dealers want a £2k deposit and you'll get on the waiting list. No option of a test drive

Seriously tempted in a couple of years once the depreciation has done its stuff.

Plus there's the whole badge snob thing. Plenty of TT drivers will snear at the Nissan badge from their glorified Golfs (not that there is anything wrong with Golfs as such). It will be their loss, I think the 350Z is a corker and will be the choice of the discerning enthusiast. Seriously considering one. Are they in the showrooms here (UK) yet?
