Tuning tips for primera sri ge16de engine?
Discussion
Don't want to point out the obvious, but a full service, good oil, plugs, HT leads, new filters, etc could help you. All can be done at home cheaply and easily. It may help to get a better flowing airbox/exhaust. I should say I know nothing specifically of this engine, these are general points.
Is the boot filled with crap? Take that s
t out! To be more extreme, do you need the back seat?
Make sure all your tyre pressures are correct.
If you have a knock sensor on your engine (I doubt it, but you never know) try higher-octane fuel.
These are things that you can do to you car keeping the same engine. If you want to start dicking around with it, better cams or a skimmed head etc, you may want to seriously think of just getting a different car. Whatever you do with it, it will still be a Primera. You may end up making it the very best Primera in the country, and it may suit you perfectly which is great, but don't think you'll end up turning it into a different car.
Oh, and ANY mods you make you should declare to your insurers. They have whole departments dedicated to wriggling out of paying out. "Oh you didn't specifically declare that the day before you had an accident you ate fish fingers for tea, sorry, your policy's void."
P.S. Good on you for sticking around
