MR2 fuse box

Dont suppose anyone has the fuse box diagram to hand for an SW20 MR2. I've blown the fuse for the cigarette lighter socket, and it doesn't appear to be marked on top of any of the fuse boxes in the engine bay or under the front bonnet.

Or is there another fuse box I dont know about?

There is a third fuse box .. under the dash, drivers side, next to the door hinge on the chassis.

Front tends to be lights, rear tends to be engine. The dash one is for the stereo etc.

Think the one you are after is the "Dome" one.

Cjeers for the help guys. I've finally located the fuse box, and the fuse is ok.

Dont suppose any of you know any other reasons why the lighter plug isn't working do you?

The connector come off?

It's a simple job to whip the dash off and have a look.

Just took your advice and had the dash out, tried the connector and its all plugged in properly. Doesn't look to be anything wrong with the wiring.

Any more thoughts? I'm getting desperate now. I reckon something has blown somewhere, but the fuse looks fine, the connector looks fine.

I had just gone and bought one of those in-car heaters since it was suffering from the common heater pipe fractures so the heating aint working.....

the lighter has two plugs - one with two pins and one that provides the light. do you have them both in?

Jonty, do you mean the "pipe from hell"?

As in the heater pipes that come out at the top of the fuel tank?

You can bypass this by running a piece of similar diameter pipe under the car from the engine to the frunk and joining it back onto the heater matrix.

Otherwise it's a tank out job to replace the "pipe from hell".

Yep, thats the ones! I tried running some other pipes to the front but it still ended up then leaking in another place, and I had a very wet carpet over in the passanger footwell.

When I picked this car I thought I'd get a Toyota, since they're so reliable!!!

..........its been the worst car ever in that department. Even mi Italian beast is more reliable than this!
