Mazda MPS 3 or 6

Hi, Been looking a new car. Like the MPS , just wondered if any owners can advise how they drive..I like the fact they have raw power, but what are like round corners and also running costs..

i thought the Mazda used a Ford/Mazda 4 pot turbo engine???

The Mazda 3 has a more powerful variant of the 5 cylinder turbo engine used in the Focus ST. As well as being more powerful than the Ford the Mazda 3 MPS is less obvious looking. The chassis on the Mazda is not as good as the Focus so it scrabbles more in the corners and squirms more under hard braking which means it effectively wastes the extra power available. I personaly think the electronics in the MPS are more intrusive than on the Ford as well. The mazda 3 MPS has a 2.3 turbo 4 cylinder engine. has nothing to do with the volvo 5pot.

The mazda 6 has the same engine in slightly different state of tune, but has AWD.

Nice to see the usual constructive reply on here. You obviously live in a caravan and like dogs.
I don't really give a st about the technicalities of the engines or drivetrains. I got it wrong in that respect. I was given my ( wrong ) infromation by the tool that owned the 3 MPS. I just drove the thing. I stick by my comments on how much worse it is than the Focus ST to drive.
