Imprezza WRX 2.0 Cam Belt Change - When & How Much?
Discussion
I bought a 2005 WRX SL with PPP in January. Only 25,000 miles on the clock so haven't had a scheduled service yet but had an 'in between' fully synthethetic oil and filter change, inspection and dyno test which cost me £170.
Expecting 30,000 mile service to be a big one, in the region of £400. Book says 50,000 mile Cambelt change OR 5 year, so I'll probably do mine at 40,000. Local highly regarded independant Subaru specialist quotes £383 for 50,000 with cambelt. 40,000 without cambelt is £250.

New age scoobies are officialy serviced every 10000 miles or 1 year. I recently had the 30K 3 year schedule C service done on my 2005 blobeye STI at a main dealer for £463.50 all in. The cambelt should be done at 50K with the schedule B service and should come in at about 500 quid all in ( main dealer )
