fto gearbox

i think that my tiptronic gearbox is on its way out.. its still selecting gear but sometimes (up hill) it struggles to b pushed into gear..
i heard that in the later models they had 5 speed tiptronic boxes. is this true? if so would it be possible to just replace my 4 speed with a newer 5 speed and benifit from that extra gear? would it be just a straight swop?

Yes the later model did have a 5 speed box, don't know if it is a straight swap tho???? join www.ftooc.org, may help
