just wondered if anyone knows how to get the original head unit out of a 56 plate micra. theres 4 tiny little what look like covers in each corner of the unit but i'm pretty sure they're part of the front. i've taken out the 2 screws in the small cubby hole above the radio and the 2 also on the bottom on the fascia where the heater controls are but neither the radio or full fascia is budging! any help appreciated.

Nissan radios often have side mounted screws , its normally easier to take the whole cradle out

IF it does have a cradle and screw in from the side it may also be earthed through this chassis so best to put the cradle back in the dash before switching on or it may not work and you could spend ages scratching your head trying to work out why smile

Obvisously being a 90's Nissan it's all together very well, you'll need to take the whole centre console out...once all the screws are out of that it will pop out gently with a screwy. Then like Liner33 said, has side mounted screws to hold the H/U in.
