steering knocking an celica gt.wtf?

hi i've got a loud knocking when i turn the steering wheel.any ideas what it could be.oh yeah the car is a 1995 celica gt.any ideas people?

Most possibly your CV joints/boots that have gone. Thats what happened on my car. Saw it as an opportunity to change both sides, it drives much better now.

how much did it cost to change them?

IIRC the parts were only £25 a side. Labour came to about £60 as I had drop links and brake disks fitted as well. So i'd say it'd be about £100.
