Subaru B4 RSK?
Discussion
Not driven one but have been a passenger. Was quite a while ago. For what they are they are quick. A guy on my estate owns a 99 example and says he loves it more than his previous VR4 Legacy. Very nice car imo but the fuel consuption is like that of a scoob (or possibly worse) as it shares the same components. Looks good too.
Great cars, the 01-onwards facelift is the one to go for if you can - higher compression, different turbos etc. My GTB certainly isn't laggy, small turbo comes on from about 1600rpm and secondary from about 4-4.5k giving over 80% of peak torque from 2000-6500rpm. They have a much wider, smoother power delivery than the single turbo Subs.Fuel economy is better than many seem to think, i generally average around 27 mpg in mixed use or 30-32 on the open road which isn't bad at all for a 280bhp AWD wagon. Of course they'll guzzle if you feed it to them though, anything with that power will.

These LP turbos are going to run out of letters
I've been looking at the MD321V turbo's as i've been hearing excellent results in the field, and now there's an X.
Lovely figures Charlie, i take it you're using the Solaris
X was a bit of an experiment, the V is a bigger turbo.

Well my GTB made 480bhp earlier this evening
Crikey. Where's the spec?
Its a bit brutal

I'm running a 2000 B4-RSK Blitzen - love it to bits! much smoother delivery than a single turbo - despite the small Valley of Death inbetween the turbo's
pretty damn reliable as well. 27mpg is pretty darn efficient - i'm lucky to get 20 out of mine - and thats without ripping the asre off it!head on over to uklegacy.com for plenty much info on Legacy's from all era's

, just don't get time to post on as many forums as i used too. As for the car, there is a pic of it as it used to be on my profile, I need to take some new pics when i get a chance. The twins have been junked in favour of what basically is an Impreza lump and single turbo. There is a B4 running more power, API built a 2.35 GT35R for a customer a couple of years ago, I'm not sure what happened to it.Lovely numbers. Blimey i bet that's a real hoot!! Nice one
By the way Charlie, do you happen to know what average drivetrain loss % is for a scoob. The reason i ask is that my road dyno figures give me wheel horse power and it's often difficult to know exactly what figure for drivetrain loss to use when calculating power at the flywheel.
There are so many different thoughts on this, some say low 20's, others say mid to high teens. You run a rolling road, what do you think?
