Funnily enough I was wondering the same thing the other week. I think it has more to do with the fact that maybe most of the owners are registered with the owners club and may post there. The last time I was linked to one of those forums there were loads of people messaging.

It may just be me though. I've found that a lot of people have started using specified forums for their auto's to get the best information. Any generic stuff is usually on here. Although saying that there are a fair few Subaru threads. scratchchin

post more often then hehe

Must say I'd sworn I'd had more than my fill of Jap cars for now, but I'm still finding myself drawn back to them, purely because I've driven many an Evo and loved them (image aside), but have yet to own one.

I have an Evo 8. I think most owners use the Mitsubishi Lancer Register (aka MLR). You must have heard of it before as it's the UK's largest Evo club by a large margin. I tend to chat Evo stuff over there are there's a larger concentration of owners there than anywhere else.

Rightly or wrongly I wouldn't expect to get as fast or sensible an answer on here as I would on there. So I always post my Evo related threads/questions/comments etc over there.

Peeps on here probably don't bother posting and just use the MLR.

Actually try this experiment. Go to the Pistonheads home page. Then work out how many clicks it takes to get to the Evo forum.

Last year I moved to the dark side and bought an Evo, which if I am being really honest, is by far a faster means of transport on real world roads from A to B than any of my previous TVRs.
I'm surprised you post this when you've come from a Sagaris.

Ditto, there are literally thousands of active Evo owning members on the MLR, so it seems pretty pointless to talk about them anywhere else, unless you want an "outsider's point of view", which will for the most part just be "I admire their capability, but hate their image and like to drive my car rather than have the electronics do it". rolleyes

I have over 10,000 posts on the MLR, but mainly come on here just to read the news discussions and non-car related chat.

Another MLR one here,MLR is getting too political in my eyes now for various reasons, i dont post on it that much now and thats coming from an ex Regional Orginizer(me)....its a breath of fresh air having another club so i can mingle with lots of diffrent cars and Exotica

If you wown an Evo then you wont get another site that is more informative;)

Trying finding any info on a non-Evo Lancer. I've a 2008 Lancer GS3 diesel, there's a complete lack of anyone talking about these on the interwebs. Pretty exclusive motors in the UK it seems.

Hi ya, yep you can't spend an entire day chatting on the interweb about Evos. laugh Add news, politics and law into the equation and that tends to keep me occupied during the quiet times though! smile
