hi i have a nissan terrano II slx 2.7td year 1994. i need to put a new gearbox on it and am searching for a second hand one i keep getting asled how many valves it has. i have no idea. anybody????????

Think they are a 12v engine, obviously there was a crossover point fron 8v to 12v near your build year & quite possibly a different engine fitting.

Nope, engine is 8 valve. Only engine difference with these was the addition of an intercooler in 1996 when TD27T went to TD27Ti.IIRC gearboxes were unchanged. If you`re looking for a second hand box be very careful as good ones are thin on the ground as they lead hard life. Depending on whats wrong with yours, may be better to have it repaired. Might only need some bearings and some synchros.
