Finally Finished! LS2 V8 Miata with Video
Discussion
Over 3 years and more design redesign than I care to discuss, this One-off design/Fab car (No conversion kit) project came out fantastic and everyone that sees it seems to "Get it" and likes it.
Being an older guy, my starting point was initiated after my first ride, as a Teen-ager in a Sunbeam Tiger (Hi-po 289 Ford). I decided that someday, I would have the smallest roadster I could come up with, incorporated with the highest HP, Stock V8 I could afford, and this is Finally it.
Hope you like the New Video!

That's simply outstanding. Looks right at home in there and that sound is to die for.
Coupla questions :
What gearbox did you use? Any issues with flywheels and clutches?
Did you have problems with the steering column?
Have you had to modify the chassis/engine bay to get it to fit?
How big have you gone on the rear tyres? I'm assuming it's gonna need a helluva lot of tread to put that sorta power down.
Fantastic build though, been thinking about doing the same with an Audi V8, seeing as they're available over here. Can't wait till someone throws you the hairdresser comment before you start it up

An Audi V8 would be fantastic, not really seen much around US.
As to your other questions; Gear-box is Tremec T-56 six-speed(Viper, ZO6 trans) Clutch, Flywheel everything is standard Corvette (this V8 Miata is about 900 Lbs lighter than a Vette. Custom steering shaft, Miata rack is moved forward, GM P/S pump and Miata rack are Great together, No column mods. Slight firewall mods and you can't put the power down with any tire that'll fit a Miata. You learn to throttle modulate with 225-40-ZR16 Toyos all around.
Thanks!!

That really does sound like a helluva handfull but driving such raw cars i reckon are the most fun.
My V6 Mk1Mr2 is in a similar, albeit much more sedated, vein. Just love the fact it's a light car with an engine in it that's far too big.
Do you know the dimensions of the LS2 at all?
The 4.2 Audi engine is incredibly compact for what it puts out (300-360bhp in different guises), but the LS2 must be in a whole different league again i'm guessing? What does it put down, have you dyno'd it at all?
Would love that corvette sound but LS2's over here are quite expensive.
What ECU etc are you running it on?
