twin engined almera gti

ok right im wanting to build a twin engined almera. i have got 2 good engines but now need help for what else is needed. i have just got a bit of compo so got some money now and wanna start building cheers

Why not just do an SR20DET swap, or buy a GTi-R?

If you want to put another engine in you'll need to basically remove the boot floor and mount in a new subframe. Very invovled piece of work as you'll need to move the fuel tank too.

Personally I'd say it was pretty pointless. Dropping a turbo on the SR20 would yeild more power and weigh less. If you want four driven wheels buy a GTI-R. The RNN14 SR20DET is a stunning engine. Quad throttle bodies, sodium valves, strengthened block etc etc. Run it at 1 bar and you'll have the same power as two SR20s anyway. The chassis is a better bet than the Almera too.

Buy a GTi-R, bolt on a GT2860RS, FMIC, downpipe, exhaust, induction, add a Nistune daughterboard and enjoy 330hp of fast spooling madness.

Leave the SR20DE in the front, put a SR20DET in the back. Then youll have a 300(ish)bhp car with a 75/25 torque split, that will be great fun!
