P1 was a great marketing exercise.
Apart from the rear spoiler, seats and coil springs, it was simply a 4 door sti5 (non DCCD) drive train in a 2 door Type R shell with a UK dash and wagon (for the rear wash wipe) wiring loom.
For the ECU mapping all they did was increase the knock sensitivity on the standard STI map. (Most mappers start with a P1 base map when remapping MY99/00 STI's).
I had a modded TypeR with all the extra's, 8/9 years ago but if I went back to a 'Classic Scoob, I would probably get a P1 as well.
