Hi chaps - bit confused on the video I posted on YouTube. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6qP41Ld3B8

I really launched the car badly - at 7000rpm! Poor Impreza, really didn't mean to hurt it like that. Nonetheless, I get moving at 12 seconds into the clip (when you hear the thwappp, not sure if it's wheelspin/hop or something inside the car) and obviously 60 is 60. The timestamp on the video says it's 4.3 seconds although I time it at 4.5-4.7 and I'm dubious of the timestamp - my car can't be that quick, can it?

By no means am I willy waving as there is some serious metal on here - I'd honestly like to know as I have no idea myself what it is! Plus if any other

Impossible to say accurately from just a video, and 60mph on the speedo won't be a true 60mph. Having said that it did look quick so I reckon it was high 4s.

I had a blobeye sti with a pack and some other bits and bobs as my last car. I did some 0-60 trials with some serious timing kit I was running at about 350 brake. Even with flat shifts on a flat level track I couldn't get below 4.7. I suspect you may have been rolling when you launched it ( possibly because the road was pointing slightly downhill). That said I reckon that was about 5 seconds.

That was just going off the doppler shift.

hi Sebhaque,

Fellow subaru owner here. If you are anywhere near maidenhead and can locate a private stretch of road I have some Racelogic timing gear you can try. PM me if you want.
