Folding seats on the 200SX/Silvia?

Hi,

Quick question - which variants of the 200SX/Silvia have folding rear seats? Does anyone know if you get a couple of mountain bikes in the back of one (wheels removed)?

S14 and S14a top half folds down but the hole is not very big so I doubt it.
Think the S13 is s hatch so should have more room.

S13 seats fold flat but being a coupe, the rear shelf is fixed. OK for golf clubs but not sure about bikes.
180SX have a hatch so loads of room.
Not sure about S14, S15 though.

The widest part of a bike (minus the handlebars which can stick out either into the boot or the rear seats) is the crank/pedals, so I should imagine just about anything with folding seats would suffice for one - getting the missus' bike in too could be a challenge though.

Out of interest, what are running costs like? Any idea how they'd compare to something like a 944?

Hi, I had a T registered 200SX, think that is the S14? The one with the more up to date Skyline-ish front end. Really enjoyed it, they're good cars.

Anyway I used to get a mountain bike in mine, not a happy fit but it went in. I can't see two going in though to be honest...

I can confirm you can get 1 MTB in the back of an S13! Maybe 2 with the front wheels removed
Cant say for deffo S14 or 14A but would be tricky due to the having a boot and not the hatch.

An old colleague just about managed to get one MTB (minus wheels) in the boot of his - I think it was an S14 - but the seats didn't fold, so you'd never have got a second one in. Folding seats are key.

It can be weird though - I used to have an MG ZS and while packing for a week off to Coed y Brenin with a mate we discovered the bikes wouldn't fit in that (large-ish saloon) but would fit in the back of his tiny Peugeot 106. It was all due to the positioning of the factory strut brace on the ZS, which cut the gap between the seats...
