Hi All

Any recommendations on sensible double din upgrades for 55 plate impreza? not fussed about Nav

Was never impressed to start with, but new Milltek is drowning factory fit out.

Want something to blend in with the interior so nothing too flash. Not looking for massive output and certainly no additional amp or parcel shelf speakers

Also, do the speakers need replacing, guy at Halfords suggested that the head unit was not up to it, I have no idea?

Cheers
Jon

Apologies, obviously not taken enough testosterone tablets recently

I mean for when I am driving around town or in traffic and not pulling 7500rpm

Still prefer the sound of burble. No1 hit!! biggrin

Perhaps you should by a pimped up Fiat Punto or Citroen Saxo to house your ICE.

Leave the scooby in your garage till you need an adrenalin fix. wink

Jon,
I searched all over for a decent double din when I had the Scooby but they seemed to be either cheap eBay specials from China or overpriced branded units. I decided to get an adaptor plate and bought a good spec Alpine head unit with ipod connection for around £200.
Any headunit over the standard one will be a vast improvement - even kept the factory speakers on mine.
To the clowns above - you do get tired of the flat four after a few hundred miles driving across Europe, the stereo did get switched off in every tunnel though biggrin

p.s. My adaptor was from Subaru. Seach Scoobynet for "stereo pocket" and you'll find loads of threads full of info.
