joined the nissan qashqai forum in march coz got the new qashqai when it came out and had nothing but problems, but they do not like it when you air them in there section that is for complaints wtf is that about. this is the problems i found in the first 3 weeks see what you think about them. 1 open back doors and you can see white primer through the paint, and paint on car is chipping more than usal got about 20 chips on bonnet already and the bumper even worse.. (2) chip in wheel where 1 of there tools has hit it when fitting wheels, looks like an axe chopped it. (3) bonnet overhang they are being recaled coz of this, bonnet over hang bumper by about 5 to 10 mm and some times more. (4) front fog light is hanging off (5) 4 big scratches polished 3 out but the forth looks like some1 did it when paint was wet so cant get it out. (6) wipers on auto wipe intermitting when it pours with rain and when it stops raining they start wiping at full speed untill i put them back to manual. (7) took 3 turns to start it on one day just would not start. (8) front brakes seize on after it has rained and left over nite, they proper crunch when brake lose ,and need to give it a lot to brake them loose. (9) and engine rattles more than my j reg hilux surf. is these things bad or am i just being fussy? coz they give me a lot of s@@t over it, but i put it where they say have you had any problems ,that seems like problems to me.

nissan paints are very soft. Surprised to hear they are still denying the issue in 2010. Back when the 350z was their flagship (and a great seller) they ignored EVERY single owner that complained. There was such a fuss about it they just denied any paint issue. Their paints are like stool water when it comes to strength. Also it was the absolutely disgusting way in which the Nissan dealerships dealt with myself and other zed owners I vowed never to buy a nissan again... though the 370z looks nice it would only be when out of warranty and out of their hands

I had absolute murders with Nissan over my Navara engine. There was a timing chain tensioner fault, which caused the chain to snap and destroy the engine. I fought them for nearly 8 Months as they had apparently recalled all Navara's for this fault but failed to contact us. Initially they denied the recall, then admitted it but still refused to pay. It was only when I commenced legal proceedings that miraculously I received a letter from customer services stating there had been a clerical error, and to book the vehicle in at a dealer of my choice at they would cover all costs. £7.5k and 2 weeks later they put a complete crate engine in. It would appear that I was actually lucky though as this subsequently turned into a very common problem with the D22 Navara and Nissan just dug in their heels and refuted any further claims.
