1st of all sorry for not bothering to search the forums properly...

Anyway;
Searching skyline on wiki,after this thread http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... reminded me of the c10 skyline.

April 11, 2010 saw a World record for the biggest ever Nissan Skyline meet and the most ever officially recognised on a track in the Guinness Book of WORLD RECORDS. This took place at Silverstone United Kingdom at the ISTS event.
So did any of the "ph massive" go? Any pictures of the event? bounce

yep, I was there and happened to notice lots of Skylines crawling slowly round the track in a pretty shade ordered way... Didn't know how many were there at the time..

Most of them were R33s with R32s coming second with a few R34s and 350gts in as well. It was a shame that no classic Skylines were there but a number of the members are looking into getting some of the older models but it is getting harder to find them as there is a bit of a retro fad going on in Japan atm so getting hold of anything 20 years or older is expensive.

O i know as I’ve found recently, by finding out and talking on a few threads about it, seams very expensive, especially, for legit GT-R's not just gt-x replica's of the gt-r. Seams they've all been re set up carbon arches, modern wheels. Then you got import duty and shipping on top.
Having a little look few day back does seems impossible to find a retro skyline on sale in the UK.
And working out the cost of buying and importing c10's, looked around the 40k mark. yikes but we can dream ey. Shame they are so expensive, but at least it will mean they'll get looked after.

There are two clubs and some stupid politics between them. I don't know the details and don't want to know really.

That explains it. I knew it was a club organised event, didn't realise there were 2 Skyline clubs..
