legacy 2.5gx, cruise control packed up?!!?

well i picked up my 2000 legacy 2.5 gx lux today and after playing with the cruise control it has packed up so looks like ive broken it. the light still comes on when i push the button but the wheel mounted stalk for the setting of the cruise control is not making it work now. any ideas? thanks in advance.

No idea sorry, mine doesn't have cruise control! IIRC last time I heard about a similar problem all it took was something strangely simple like resetting it.

is it a case of cennecting the wires under the dash for an ecu reset? thanks
