HI guys, I just wanted toask why Mazda 3 and 6 aren't that popular in the UK? In Australia Mazda 3 is the top selling car in the class and the Mazda 6 is right up there as well. Holden/Vauxhall Astra's are common here but no where near like in the UK. Is it because the Import duties/exchange rates make Jap cars too expensive?

Cheers.

Probaly because they fall into the most common markets. I.e family hatch and exec saloon. There is so much choice and the mazdas are out weighed

They are good, my dad has a 3. But Not as nice as the Focus or Mondeo on which they are based, excluding the 6 MPS.

Id disagree...I took the 3 over a focus, and think the build quality is better.

Same chassis, but handling seems to be better. The MPS is a fantastic car though! Shame only FWD on the 3 but at least 4WD on the 6

I thought the handling was better on the mk1 Focus IMO. But the mazda is a nice car, and the suspension seems much more comfortable.
