Hello guys, having some issues with my gen 5 3S-GE, just below where the exhaust attaches to the main block are a couple "port holes" in the side of the block, today one of them started spewing out boiling hot water, after some investigation it seems that the inside of one of these port holes has rotted enough to have a pinprick hole, i gave it a gentle tap with a screwdriver to see if it was still solid and it pretty much fell apart where the screwdriver touched it.

Heres a pic : http://imgur.com/JDZBM.jpg

Would anyone happen to know if this is fixable or of it's new-bock-time, and if it is fixable, what the specific part is called and where i might be able to find them.

Thanks.

I'm not sure where that is in relation to the rest of the engine, but I imagine that the water system will be pressurised enough to blow any small repair out and give you the same problem.

Ask on Celica Club who will be better placed to help.

Good luck!

Ended up being a core plug, picked up a replacement set for cheap (£1.50 each!), ripped out the old one, just waiting for the new plugs to arrive so i can slap it in and get her back on the road!
