HI guys, i'm just wondering how many of you have had trouble with late model RX7's in areas where it snows? I know rotary motors need to be properly warmed up and let cool down to look after them. What if it is covered in snow for a couple of months a year? No good?

Left mine burried in the snow at the beginning of the year, didn't do any harm. Biggest issue is lack of traction in the snow, but this is not exclusive to RX7s and was pretty much the reason I left it on the drive.

Obviously with the colder weather cars are taking longer to warm up, so just make sure your journeys are such that you are able to properly warm the car up.

Ditto above, mine was buried for three weeks in the bad snow last winter and it started fine.

I've never tried driving mine in the snow but I defiantly think it would be unwise. Although saying that the guy I bought mine off said he drove it in the snow a few times and said it was quite well behaved.

Warming up is never an issue unless you do short runs, which you shouldn’t do in a rotary anyway.
