Hi. Was just looking for some info on these cars. Specifically what I beleive is G2 version.

Are there any similarities with the engine and AWD setup compared to an Evo? Thanks.

Cheers. Looked at wikipedia already. It's just a little vague on details. Would also be keen to here what they are like to drive, mod, live with. Track times and performance stats too.

Rarer than a rare thing over here.

Granted you have a penchant for cars with the steering wheel on the wrong side, but why not just get an EVO?

if I'm honest I'm not really interested in the Eclipse winkwink

Not buying in either case, just a petrol head and interested in motors. But I stumbled across these the other day and thought they deserved further invesitagtion.

Thought there was a JDM variant as well as sold in some other markets too.

Eclipse GST was fwd and turbo 4G63, GSX had the same engine but awd (not as trick as the Evos awd though). The eclipse stuck with the ealier, crankwalk-prone 4G63 model unlike the regularly updated jdm evo.

There was a tuning craze for them 10 years ago, and street Eclipses run 8s over in yankland, which is insane.

All are rare over here, but not that hard to find in the states. They are getting on though, and good ones are getting thin on the ground. The talon you posted is just a badge job.

Ta. Yeah I know the Talon is mostly badges although it looks better IMO. DO you know the AWD differences, Wikipedia says they have a limited slip centre diff, which is promising. Would be interested to know how an Evo differs or compares. Thanks.

I think so, I can check later but I have a huge amount to do right now. Nudge me if I seem to have forgotten to check.

Drove one while in the US. Looked great on the outside, naff on the inside and drove like a bag of poo.

I believe the GSX Eclipse only came with an auto-gearbox too.

If you check www.autobild.de you can find a fair few for sale there, they're not as rare in europe as owners make out hehe

the one pictured above is the later model, not AWD turbo. Much more of a cruiser than the previous variants.
