Minus 3 here and just taken the Forester for a spin to get all that nice cold air into the turbo.

I fking love it when it snows. I get a chance to drive the impreza the way it's supposed to he driven, loads of nice cold air for the turbo and fk all grip to show off the handling. woohoo

frown BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO i just sold my Scoob!!!!!

Two wheel drive and no turbo just ain't the same..............bloody typical really even when we had snow last year the Scoob was off the road for a month being repaired as some tt hit it!!

It can still snow i'll just play with the dog insteadfrown

I'm hoping for some snow to see what teh Scoob can do. Even volunteered at work to be the emergency driver to take people home/to the bus station if they get stuck biggrin

Last year when it snowed I managed to skid my WRX into a Nissan Micra in a car park! Perhaps I am a plonker wink You may all laugh if you like…

i had an impreza sti last year, over winter and it was fantastic, i never got stuck once and was great fun in the snow, i have gone back to bmw and i am so missing my impreza, its days like today that you value 4 wheel drive!
i had a job getting off the drive this morning smile

Actually it does make engine braking much more effective on slippery stuff (even more so if you have low range), and helps resist the tendency for individual wheels to lock.

My DCCD on the STI has been brilliant. Genuinely couldn't get out from where it was parked until I selected the Lock Diff setting.

My drive to work this morning was like a stage of the Swedish rally - only slightly slower smile

My Scoob has been brilliant so far. Hasn't got any fancy locking diffs but it hasn't got stuck yet!

not if your using the brakes it does'nt. Only if you engine braking.....
