Shortly going to look at an 05 plate one at a Suburu dealer. Asking price is £9995. Mileage is 69k and is a 1 owner from new job. Is it a potential money pit as I intend keeping it for several years? All opinions welcome as have never owned a Suburu but read good and bad things about them. TIA

It will like a drink or two, apart from that Subaru's rarely have a problem!

I have a Legacy estate and it really is a fantastic car.

Yes I know they have a drink problem, but as I don't do a huge annual mileage it's not a big deal. Just wondered if there's a huge bill lurking round the corner at that mileage. Anything in particular I should pay attention to when I go to view?

No cambelt to worry about (chain) but it will be due a D service at 72k miles.

Cheers Benny, I'd factor that into a cheeky offer!

10k for a 05 plate leggy is bit pricey. But as said not much will go wrong as long as you keep ontop of the services etc
