Anyone know of a cheap insurer for an Impreza ???
Discussion
Hi, trying to get insured on my impreza turbo classic (95) non import. Tried Flux but they want about 1200 a year which seems a little excessive for 3rd party fire & theft on a car thats worth about £1200. I tgink the problem is because i'm 24 but i do have 6 years no claims?
Does anyone know anyone cheaper, possibly jap specialists, thanks

i know they do seem a bit rediculous to insure? I have a mgb v8 at home, and the insurance on that is 280 a year on a limited milage, but the scooby is like 5 times the price??? I guess thats the difference with classics.
Anyway I'll get onto the lot you guys have suggested and see if i an sort something out. thanks

Is this your first year with the car? I bought an Impreza in November, Scoobney told me to try Gary @ Keith Michaels and A-Plan too... unfortunately as they said I hadn't had such a powerful car before they couldn't beat's Flux's quote of £1,300
yep correct, spoke to gary earlier and he said i would do well to beat a quote of £1200, despite the car being worth about a grand lol. Its frustrating as I have driven way faster stuff for years through work, the impreza is a nice drive dont get me wrong but it doesnt feel particularly fast to me?? think i'll sell it anyway, and get some sort of classic car as for some reason isurance on them is really cheap? thanks for the help anyway guys
Not impressed with Flux. Got my renewal through and had gone up from circa £500 to over £1400, no accidents etc. After speaking to them and waiting for three days and ringing again they have now come down to circa £750 but still quite an increase.
Looks like I'll be heading to Moley @ Keith Michaels.

This is exactly what happened to me, my premium doubled with no accidents and an extra year ncb on top of the 7 i have already. I asked Keith Michaels and Flux for a quote along with loads of other insurers (probably all of them) but none could get me near last years premium.Looks like I'll be heading to Moley @ Keith Michaels.
A day after doing all the searching/comparison websites etc I was rang by RCIB who were the only company to manage to get my price down to where it was last year.
