Help,

Ive been looking for 5 months now for a Evo x for myself, ive got the guys at xtreme and my local mitsi stealer looking out for me, yet just cant, for love nor money find what im after.

Getting towards spring now so keen to get moving.

Must be either white, blue of black, in that order
Flappy paddles
330 (think these have the sat nav and RF sounds as standard, if not need these)
Half leather

It seems to be the leather thats the sticking point, not many about with that, let alone with all the other bits.

Anything up to 25k. Prepared to travel countrywide for the right car.

Anybody able to help.

Would it not be easier to get a car with cloth trim( plenty about). Then get the seats retrimmed with leather

TRY the MLR "EVOS FOR SALE" section a few on there and you have piece of mind that they have been looked after

Why not have an EVO X 300 SST tuned up?

Xtreme can fit the nessecary parts to the gearbox to allow it and then you could have 400bhp with little more than a remap.

Speak to Xtreme and ask if theyll fit the interior from this:

To this:

And then get them to sort the gearbox out, remap it and id go for some nice wide Rotas and drop it a bit. Lovely and should be just about doable within your budget!

The sst is a expensive car to modify at the moment ,If you want to go down the modifying route a manual is your best bet.
The geartbox needs a bigger oil cooler as it cannot cope with the extra power put through it ,this itself is a fair few pounds in itself without replacing the clutch plates to cope.

Has to be a auto, sorry, bads legs.

Dont really want to be tuning it up, hence going for a 330, if needed too upgrade the oil cooler im very good friends/do business with the guys at Pro-Alloy so im sure they could help keep costs down.

Cheers for advice/help so far folks, im guessing though as no one has found a car of the spec im after they really are like hens teeth.

Such a shame as I really fancy scratching the Evo x itch I have.

Well hold out and one will come up.

Have owned an Evo for several years and really rate them.

Drove both Manual and SST versions of the X at Prodrive when they were launched and was very very impressed. If i wasnt worried about MPG id run one as an every day driver.

Great! Be sure to let us know what you think!

Xtreme are a great company, I bought my Evo from them a few years ago and the service is A1 and now they're going to sell it for me too (unfortunately horses are taking up too much money so its gotta go!)- its the silver FQ-400 in the showroom feel free to have a nose around it!
