where can i get repair panel for an impreza rear wheel arch
Discussion
Hi there, my rear arch has been bubbled for a while, so today thoght I would scrape it off, sand it back to the metal fill and spray it, however I uncovered a whole world of issues.
Basically at some point someone has made the whole of my rear arch out of aluminium strips, aluminium sticky back tape, fibreglass, mastic, white bathroon sealant and bodyfiller!! nice, However the paint on top was very good.
So now I have a jagged rusty edge where the bottom 2 inches of my rear wheel arch should be.
Is a repair pannel available as I want to do the job properly. I could fabricate a whole piece up myself and weld that in, but a repair pannel would save me a lot of time and hassle.
I need the whole arch right the way round from the cill to the rear bumper,
thanks

Where abouts are you? I know scoobyclinic were starting to do glass fibre rear arches when I went up in Nov 10. I don't know if you can order them as is, or they have to fit them. Having composite experience I would expect someone who knows what they are doing with the stuff needs to fit it.
I will need mine doing soon, one side has gone, just waiting for the other side to decide where it will start before I get them done - in fibreglass, no more corrosion.
