How did you get on? I would keep quiet about the speed if I were you, to make sure that Mitsi don't have any room to squirm out of warranty.

Unfortunately it seems that is often the case with the official dealers.

I dropped my Evo VIII off for a service a few years back to a "RalliArt" dealership and the kid behind the desk acted like his Christmas had come early.

Walking through the workshop to pick up the shed of a courtesy car, it was clear why - not a single Evo out of the 10 or so cars being worked on. All of them were bog standard econoboxes. Same story when I went to pick it up a few days later. Bear in mind that Evos that age need to be serviced every 6 months and you'd expect a Ralliart Garage to be accustomed to dealing with them.

If you've only had it two weeks surely you're within your rights to reject the car and walk away from it?

Sorry to hear of your plight. Reject the car and take your money elsewhere. A friend of mine had an unpleasant ownership experience with his from new. He chopped it after getting frustrated.

Call Mitsubishi customer services ASAP. You are with your rights so check your bill of sales for the cooling off period. Also call watchdog. smile

I'd be looking for a full refund, this car sounds like a right lemon, and that's before you take the "Carry on" style dealership into consideration.

Ask for the crime number. Sounds dodgy to me. Then reject the car via a solicitor. You are being taken for a ride sadly.
