I think i need a new mass air flow meter for my 320d

looking around, it appears i can get a new unit for it but the model number is different and it says i need to get my ECU recoded by a dealer

Any idea how much this is? and can a decent independant place like munich motors do this?

What makes you think you need a new MAF and are you unable to get the same part number?
