im 25(and have a penis,which doesnt help)E46 330CI, 4 NCB, around 9k PA milage, good postcode,driveway parking and 3 points(SP20)

best so far has been off elephant @£650 which isnt bad at all, however both a plan and keith michaels have been unable to beat it, and last year flux were the same and included pistonheads discount

Admiral / Elephant for me for the last few years (but only if paying a lump sum, as monthly payments add a lot to the total). Before that I used Direct Line.

Brentacre

I know they're VW specialists...but when I changed from a Mk2 16v GTI to the E46 330ci sport they were £500 cheaper than anywhere else.

31, 7yrs no claims, 3 pts for speeding, central Manc post code came in at around £350 fc

Hell those are cheap!

I'm with Elephant and currently pay £992. 37yr, 7yr NCB, no points, 8k pa garaged and live in a sleepy Sussex town.

It's going to go up as well as a non-fault accident this year.

oh, E46 M3.

I'm with Swiftcover - came up cheapest when comparing quotes when I came up for renewal in December. Forget exactly how much it was, but around the £650 mark, Z4 3.0si, 27y/o, 6yrs NCB, parked on street.

I followed the steps on here to find the best quote:
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/insurance/compare...

When I was looking recently however, Aviva kept coming up cheapest as they are currently offering 12 weeks free for new customers - I don't believe they are on the price comparison sites either so you'll have to look separately.

Also, it's worth noting that some insurers now charge less if the car is parked on the street rather than on a driveway or in a garage due to the number of cars now pinched by bds breaking into your house and nicking your keys - only applies to certain postcodes though, but certainly worth having a look.

Handy information this, actually. My renewal comes up in August so I'll be looking around fairly soon once the renewal quote comes through.

Currently insured with More>Than. 25, 325ci E46, clean license and 5 years no claims. Currently paying £635.

Regardless of another clean year of driving, its bound to go up again this year. I'll be doing a lot of searching around.

I thought people paid the same now regardless of whether they possess a penis or a fanny?

Anyway, MoreThan worked for me.

Admiral gave me the best quote, but my previous insurer Bell matched the quote so I stuck with them.

thanks for the input guys, i have a few more to try on my lunch break tomorrow smile

best deal so far is with greenlight insurance at £598 which is fantastic, however they seem to have passed this on to somebody called highway who appear to be part of liverpool victoria, but according to confused.com liverpool victoria wanted £1300 so why is it no less than half? and lastly greenlight charge me £30 if i accept this policy.

is this normal pratice as i havnt come across anything like this before

Sounds a little iffy doesn't it?

Me and my wife are both with LV - Me 31, 120d 8yrs NCB, business use £360, the mrs 30, 330d, 7yrs NCB, business use £370, were named drivers on each other policies and they are both for 15k miles I think.
