Does anybody know whether the 1 series (specifically a 130i) requires a special tool to reset the caliper piston on the rear brakes, or whether a c clamp can be used?

I don't want to get to this point only to realise that a c clamp won't be sufficient. I was thinking of using a c clamp with a flat piece of wood to sit over the caliper piston to save damage/spread the load, and winding it back in to reset it to allow the new pads to fit.

Knowing BMW, its not likely to be that easy though!

It will just push back, 'g' clamp will do.
