E30 BBS centre caps

I bought some 15" BBS alloys that came of an E30, they only came with 1 complete 3 piece centre cap so I need replacements.

A seller on eBay seems to think that the centre caps are all interchangeable so long as you keep to the metal 3 piece type, despite differing part numbers.

Can anyone confirm/deny that?

Your ebay seller chap is trying it on. There are several different sizes and fitments, so you need the right ones.

On the plus side, I bought new ones for my 6er direct from BMW and they are only about £15 each (or they were for mine!), which seemed like good value for brand new, shiny originals. Certainly much better than a set that some dodgy ebayer has pinched from a neighbour's pride and joy...

The 15" wheels all take a 171mm centre cap, 14" wheels have 151mm cap.

I just called the local BMW parts desk, they couldn't find it by the part numbers i took off the individual parts so had to use the part number off the wheel - only 1 part number came back which made me think that it's probably for a plastic version - and it was going to be £44+VAT, each!

The ebay seller is only 45min down the road though, so i'll probably just go down there so i can test fit before i hand over any ££.
