Can anyone tell me if these rims will fit unhindered from the BMW M3 CSL onto what is currently an e46 318i touring?
Many thanks in anticipation biggrin

If they're OE CSL's then they won't fit. The offsets are incorrect.

If they're CSL copies in 18" and have front offsets of 47 and rear of 50, they may be ok.

As opposed to 44F/27R in the original standard 19" rim yes?
I already have the rims and will have the touring in little more than a week so I can physically try them on the car then but was wondering whether I may have a chance or not (I am about as patient as the next man I am afraid, so that's not very biggrin ). I wonder if with spacers I may be able to fit front 8.5" rims on all four corners or if by modifying the arches a smidge could fit a standard full set?

AFAIK it's only the fronts that will fit even with spacers.

Try Olli on BMWland.co.uk, he's a wealth of knowledge on these things.

Genuine M3/CS/CSL rears will stick out like elephants lugs.

Ive got the E46 M3 wheels on my E46 saloon, I first had the rear arches rolled and this was a complete mistake it looks awful! The only way it worked was to split, flair and re-weld them with a proffesional body shop they simply won't stretch enough otherwise.

If "by modifying the arches a smidge", you mean simply rolling them then no, genuine rear E46 M3 wheels are never going to fit!.

If "by modifying the arches a smidge", you mean going to the expense of cutting the inner and outer arches out and grafting custom made flared sections back into their place then yes, you'll be able to fit genuine E46 M3 rear wheels.

If it were My car, I'd just get a decent set of replicas in the right size, with the right offset for the car and use the money saved from not having to completely rebuild the rear arches for some other tasteful mods.

Just buy another pair of genuine fronts, they are only £240 each anyway. Once of BMWs cheapest wheels, you will need someone with a CSL to order them though as they want to see the V5 for it.
