2005 Z4 - 70k Miles - Recommended Maintenace ?
Discussion
I've got a 2005 Z4 that has now done about 64,000 miles and will be hitting 70,000 in about 3 months. It looks likely that I will be keeping it for another year, when it might hit 90-100k. I do about 1600-2000 miles per month.
Are there any recommended maintenance items that should be done in addition to the computer recommended services ?
In my ownership (last 2 years and 35,000 miles)
It's had
- Interim oil change
- Oil service
- Inspection II
Also has new front brake discs and pads about a year ago.
It currently has a slight misting of oil from selector and output shaft seals - consensus seems to be it's fine, just check it in a while.
I have seen some posts on Z4 Forums suggesting that diff fluid and transmission fluid should be changed around now, even though BMW say it's meant to be sealed for life.
